Georgian Politician Says No Reset in Relations with US
Ana Natsvlishvili, a leader of the Strong Georgia party, has spoken out against Republican Senator Jim Risch. She says that there will be no renewal of relations between the Georgian Dream and the United States.
Natsvlishvili claims that the new US administration knows who its friends are. She notes that people close to Russia, Iran, and China cannot be friends with America at the same time. This includes Senator Risch, whom Natsvlishvili says has unwavering support from the US government.
Natsvlishvili’s comments were likely made in response to criticism from Georgian Dream towards Senator Risch. She seems to imply that the US is not interested in improving relations with Georgia as long as it supports countries like Russia and Iran.
