**Georgian Leader Criticizes Detention of Protesters**
Ana Natsvlishvili, a leader of the “Lelo – Strong Georgia” party, has spoken out against the detention of people for holding a blank sheet of paper. She says this is a sign of authoritarianism.
Natsvlishvili wrote on Facebook that when people are detained for having a blank sheet of paper, it’s like in Russia, where this happens too. But she also said that when people are arrested for mentioning the name of a national hero, it shows that the country is under an occupying regime.
**Georgia’s Government Criticized**
Natsvlishvili accused the government of being an occupying regime. She wrote that those in uniform who enforce laws are not serving Georgia, but rather the occupying government.
