He is only 28 years old, but he has already experienced many vicissitudes in life. One of them had a major impact on his personality. He is willing to ask and it will come to him. He is eager to seek and he will discover. Andro Chichinadze, a professional actor from Tbilisi in Georgia, has a special theatre education and a specific qualification as a cinematographer. Andro Chichinadze, a professional actor from Tbilisi, Georgia, has a special theatrical education and is specialized as a cinematographer. According to him, a sudden and great revelation led him to make the brilliant decision to combine these two different and mutually complementary ways of artistic storytelling.
Andro was left in a state where he felt disconnected from reality after a loud explosion three years ago. This led to a sense of overwhelming existence in a surreal environment. In medical terms, the condition could be described as derealization mixed with depersonalization. The trauma was immense, the disorder grave and the challenge nearly insurmountable.
The disorder was a psychological problem that needed to be dealt with professionally and immediately. The athletically-built, handsome young man with the looks of an average Western frontiersman was on the verge of giving up his beloved profession of filmmaking to take care of health and functionality. All was done in good will and order. The boy’s gradual recovery progressed and he returned to his normal way of living little by little.
But something was still wrong in the mind. This is when it all began. Andro Chichinadze, believe it or not found relief in mountains! He says: “The high altitude environment provided me with a unique perspective and refuge, which was a very important part of my healing process.” The serenity of nature helped me reconnect to myself and regain clarity, which I had been missing for so long. The continuation of the story will be even more exciting.
The experience was transformative and Chichinadze decided to embark on a mission to climb seven mountains, including Everest and Kilimanjaro, and to create a film documenting his heavenly adventure. The future documentary’s title is “The Journey of Transformation”. The “transformation” is that the extensive and adventurous crusade became a prevailing evidence of self-discovery and resilience, attesting the hope of renovation even in the darkest moments of losing will to live.
Why a film? The film would be the best way to communicate the healing power Chichinadze discovered with the patients who have been forced to fight the same disorder as he did. Andro could not have found a more powerful source of hope and inspiration for his fellow human beings. He believes that the magic of the mountains will help him recover. Yes, the magnificent mountains are his incredible supporter of the virtuous acts of this Georgian Good Samaritan.
Andro says he is an actor and understands the power of storytelling to connect people and encourage their empathy. He hopes that by sharing his journey he will encourage others to find their own ways to recover and remind them they are not alone in their struggle for life. How very Western!
I remember the heroic struggle of Katie Courc, America’s darling western journalist to save her husband from a deadly disease. After his death from colon cancer, his brave wife promoted the idea of timely colon checks, alerting people around the world to the cunning disease. Andro Chichinadze and Katie are both warriors who save lives. The only difference is their place of residence. Sakartvelo is a part of Western culture because of this model of behavior. This wonderful similarity between the West and us is a great thing!
