Mamuka Kékelia, a second Georgian citizen, was also killed in the fighting that took place in Ukraine. Civil.ge received confirmation from the Georgian Foreign Ministry on October 27.
We are working to find out more information about the circumstances surrounding the death of the Georgian soldier and will update you as soon as we have them.
The latest casualty brings the total number of Georgians who have died in Ukraine fighting since the Russian invasion, on February 24, 2022, to 58.
