A Georgian citizen, Jaba Kvaratskhelia, was killed in a confrontation in Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry confirmed the news to Civil.ge on December 21.
Jaba Kvaratskhelia was an IDP from Abkhazia, Georgia. He led the Free Georgia command. The exact details of his death are still unclear.
**Sixty-Two Georgians Have Died in Ukraine**
This is not the first time a Georgian citizen has died fighting in Ukraine. Since Russia’s invasion on February 24, 2022, 62 Georgians have lost their lives.
