US to Give Ukraine $1.25 Billion Military Aid

The United States is planning to give Ukraine a big package of military help worth $1.25 billion. This aid will include systems to defend against air attacks and artillery rounds.

This move shows that the Biden administration wants to do as much as it can to support Ukraine before President- Donald Trump takes office on , 2025. Earlier this month, senior defense said they might have trouble giving out all of the remaining $5.6 billion in military aid that Congress had approved.

The package includes:

* Munitions for air defense systems
* HAWK air defense systems
* Stinger
* Artillery rounds for 155 mm and 105 mm guns
