US Senate Introduces New Act, But It Doesn’t Matter to Georgia.
The US Senate has introduced a new law called the MEGOBARI Act. But according to Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee in Georgia, it’s not important for his country.
Gorduladze said that even if the US calls this act “brotherhood” or “reconciliation”, it was created by people who don‘t like Georgia. He mentioned Senators Jim Risch and Jeanne Shaheen as examples of such people.
The Chairman said that the MEGOBARI Act is pointless, because it’s just a way for the US to blackmail Georgia. He believes that the US should focus on its own business instead of interfering with other countries.
Gorduladze also mentioned that the European Union and Parliament have passed six resolutions calling for sanctions against Georgia. But he said that these resolutions are not worth anything either.
