**Lebanon Celebrates Ceasefire**
The war between Israel and Hezbollah has finally come to an end. A 60-day ceasefire was agreed upon, allowing families to return to their homes.
Early yesterday morning, people began driving back to the south of Lebanon. They were carrying bags of clothes, blankets, and mattresses, as well as flags and posters with pictures of Hassan Nasrallah‘s former leader.
Many people were celebrating the news of the ceasefire. “What happened was very good,” said Abu Ali. “This is a victory of the resistance.”
**Families Return Home**
The families who had to flee their homes due to the war are now returning. They don‘t know if their houses are still standing, but they’re planning to go back anyway.
Abu Ali planned to return to his village in Houla, which is located right on the border with Israel. He said that Israeli troops were still present in the area.
**A New Beginning**
The ceasefire was brokered by France and the US. As part of the agreement, Hezbollah fighters, weapons, and Israeli military forces are withdrawing from the south of Lebanon.
The Lebanese Army has also strengthened its presence in the region. Both Israel and Hezbollah have said they’re ready to respond to any violations of the ceasefire.
