**French Military Task Force Concludes Training Ukrainian Brigade**
A team of French military trainers, known as the “Champagne” task force, has finished teaching a group of Ukrainian soldiers how to fight. The newly formed brigade is made up of several thousand troops and will be equipped with tanks, artillery, and other heavy weapons.
**Training in France**
For two months, the Ukrainian soldiers have been learning how to use French-supplied equipment and fighting tactics. They trained across eastern and southern France, perfecting their skills before heading into battle. The brigade is named “Anne of Kyiv” after a princess from Ukraine who became queen of France.
**Deployed at a Critical Time**
The deployment comes as Russian forces continue to push for control of the Donetsk Oblast. Russia has support from up to 12,000 North Korean troops stationed on its border with Ukraine. The newly trained Ukrainian brigade will be a significant force in the battle against these forces.
**A Strong Force on the Battlefield**
The “Anne of Kyiv” brigade will eventually consist of 4,500 troops and include infantry battalions, engineers, artillery units, and other specialists. Over 2,000 soldiers are currently finishing their training in France, while more troops are being prepared back home.
**Confidence in Ukrainian Soldiers**
French trainers have expressed confidence in the progress made by the Ukrainian soldiers. They said that the soldiers now have the skills to fight effectively and use the equipment provided to them.
