Russian Forces Hit Industrial Site in Zaporizhzhia
On January 8, Russian forces targeted an industrial facility in the city of Zaporizhzhia. One person was killed and at least 30 were injured, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov.
The type of weaponry used in the attack has not been specified by Fedorov. However, he confirmed that emergency services are working at the site to help those affected.
Photos from the scene show significant damage to buildings and debris scattered around the area.
Zaporizhzhia is a city with a population of approximately 710,000 people. It has been frequently targeted by Russian forces since the invasion in 2022.
This attack is part of a wider wave of Russian assaults across Ukraine. Regional authorities reported two civilian deaths and 13 injuries nationwide over the past day.
Russia also launched 64 Shahed-type attack drones and various dummy drones overnight, but Ukrainian air defenses intercepted most of them.
