**Israeli Air Strike Kills 35 in Gaza**
The Israeli military has carried out an air strike on a residential building in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. At least 35 people have been killed and seven injured.
According to local reports, many of the dead are women and children. The rubble from the destroyed building is still trapping dozens of others who may be injured or dead.
**Wider Conflict**
The Israeli military claims it has been striking militant targets in the area. However, a civil defence agency says three separate attacks on refugee camps have killed 15 people elsewhere in Gaza.
In the south, an Israeli drone attack on Rafah has killed five more people. The whole area is chaotic, with continuous artillery and shooting making it difficult to rescue any more wounded.
**Local Residents Frustrated**
Many local residents are refusing to leave their homes despite the danger. A woman from the area was quoted as saying “What harm have you caused us? What wrong did we do?” She expressed frustration at the Israeli military’s actions.
**Humanitarian Crisis**
The conflict has forced up to 130,000 people to flee their homes in the last five weeks. The United Nations says 75,000 people are still under siege with dwindling food and water supplies in several towns.
A report by Human Rights Watch claims Israel committed war crimes and crimes of humanity by deliberately forcing the mass displacement of Palestinians.
