There have been clashes between police and protesters. Some people are shouting slogans like “Russians, slaves!” and “Who started the war?” These chants refer to Georgia‘s recent conflict with Russia.
One of the leaders of a group called “Coalition for Change” was also detained by police near the Parliament building.
The protest is against a temporary commission that is investigating the former government. Many people are unhappy with this investigation and have gathered in front of the Parliament to show their opposition.
