The Australian Department of Defense announced on 5 November that Australia would provide Ukraine with fourteen rigid-hull military patrol boats. The military package, worth $14million or $9.2million, aims at strengthening Ukraine’s coastal and maritime defense capabilities. These capabilities have been crucial to their operations against Russian forces.
Australia is the largest contributor of military to Ukraine outside . It provides Abrams tanks and JDAM bombs as well as rigid-hull patrol vessels, among other defense assets. Since , Australia provided nearly $860 millions in military aid to Ukraine.
