Australia pledges to provide additional patrol boats for Ukraine’s coastal defence

The package, which includes 14 rigid-hull patrol boats valued at $ 9. million, adds on previous watercraft donations and brings support total to almost $1 billion.
The Australian Department of Defense announced on 5 November that Australia would provide Ukraine with fourteen rigid-hull military patrol boats. The latest military package, worth $14million or $9.2million, aims at strengthening Ukraine’s coastal and maritime defense capabilities. These capabilities have been crucial to their operations against forces.
Australia is the largest contributor of military assets to Ukraine outside NATO. It provides Abrams tanks and JDAM bombs as well as rigid-hull patrol vessels, among other defense assets. Since 2022, Australia provided nearly $860 millions in military to Ukraine.
