**Georgian Dream Uses Crime Gangs to Retaliate Against Opponents**
Badri Japaridze, a leader of the “Strong Georgia” coalition, says the ruling party “Georgian Dream” is using crime gangs to scare off its opponents. He made this claim on a TV program called “Political Space”.
**Violence Not Working in Georgia**
Japaridze believes that Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of “Georgian Dream”, thought he could stop people from protesting by using violence. This approach worked in Russia and Belarus, but not in Georgia.
**People Standing Up to Violence**
According to Japaridze, Georgians are not afraid of violence from the government. Instead, they are getting angrier and more determined to protest peacefully. The more violent “Georgian Dream” becomes, the more people come out to demonstrate against it.
**Solution to Crisis: New Elections**
Japaridze thinks that the only way to solve this crisis is for “Georgian Dream” to agree to new elections that are free and fair. This would allow Georgians to choose their leaders without fear of violence or intimidation.
