**Opposition Politicians Speak Out Against Court Proceedings**
Leaders of the opposition group Strong Georgia are speaking out against the court hearings of individuals detained during protests. Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders, attended the court session and expressed his disappointment with the judicial system.
Japaridze believes that the way the prosecution is handling the case is “disgraceful.” He claims that the prosecutors are using a video from the public domain as evidence, despite defense lawyers pointing out that it was actually published by online trolls. Japaridze also noted that in another case, the same prosecutors deemed publicly available evidence inadmissible.
**Eight Detained During Ongoing Protests**
Police have arrested eight individuals during ongoing protests on charges of organizing group violence. Three of them – Zviad Tsetskhladze, Vepkhia Kasradze, and Vasil Kadzelashvili – are accused of leading the group and face prison sentences of 6 to 9 years.
The other five – Giorgi Gorgadze, Irakli Miminoshvili, Insaf Aliyev, Tornike Goshadze, and Nikoloz Javakhishvili – are charged with participating in group violence and face prison terms of 4 to 6 years.
