The BBC added a message to the program on its iPlayer streaming services explaining that the narrator was a 13-year-old boy whose father was a Hamas government official.

A number of prominent TV personalities have called for an investigation into how the BBC sourced individuals featured in the program. They expressed concerns about the editorial standards of the program and whether it conformed to the Ofcom Broadcasting Code and the BBC’s own Editorial Guidelines.
