**Russia Launches Coordinated Assault on Ukraine**
Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, targeting the country’s energy infrastructure. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia fired around 120 missiles and 90 drones across the country.
**Two Killed in Mykolaiv**
Two women were killed in Russian drone strikes on the city of Mykolaiv. Six people were injured, including two children. Residential buildings, a high-rise, cars, and infrastructure were damaged, with fires breaking out.
**Rail Workers Killed in Dnipropetrovsk Region**
In Ukraine’s central Dnipropetrovsk region, two rail workers were killed after Russian air strikes on railways and rail depots. Three others were injured.
**Energy Infrastructure Targeted**
President Zelensky said that Russia was targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Some areas are without power, but work is ongoing to restore it. Ukrainian air defences destroyed more than 140 targets.
**Coordinated Assault on Ukraine**
This was the largest coordinated assault since early September. Air raid sirens sounded across the country during the night as Russian drones and missiles were launched from several locations. The city of Mykolaiv, the Black Sea port of Odesa, and the capital Kyiv were among the worst hit.
**Casualties Reported**
Two people killed and several injured in Mykolaiv, two rail workers killed and three injured in Dnipropetrovsk region. Emergency power cuts have been announced in three regions.
