Incident in Abu Dhabi: Politician Calls for Restraint and New Elections
A recent incident involving three MPs from the Georgian Dream party has sparked controversy. The politicians were involved in a physical altercation with a citizen at a hotel in Abu Dhabi.
According to Beka Liluashvili, leader of the For Georgia party, such incidents are caused by the “reckless and incompetent” actions of the Georgian Dream party. He believes that MPs must show restraint and accept the consequences of their actions.
The incident occurred when MPs Irakli Zarkua and Viktor Sanikidze got into a fight with citizen Lasha Gabitashvili in a hotel dining area. Video footage shows Zarkua throwing food at Gabitashvili, while Sanikidze joined the altercation later on. Another Georgian Dream MP, Gela Samkharauli, was also present.
The argument started earlier when Gabitashvili called Zarkua and Sanikidze “Russian slaves.” The two parties had exchanged verbal insults before the physical altercation.
Liluashvili believes that the solution to this conflict lies with Georgian Dream. He is calling for new elections to be held, which he thinks will end the societal tension caused by the party’s actions.
