**Community Meetings Held in Serbia**
People from Novi Sad and Belgrade met to talk about local problems. This was done because of student protests that started a few days ago.
The students are asking for changes in the country. They want people to get involved in solving these problems. The Serbian law says that communities can meet to discuss and propose solutions to issues controlled by local authorities. These authorities have 60 days to answer the proposals.
Similar meetings were held in other cities like Cacak, Obrenovac, Vlasotince, and Nis. In Belgrade, people from the Vracar municipality met in a park to talk about communal, infrastructure, and security issues. They decided that their next meeting will ask the authorities what happened on March 15.
The Vracar meeting was started by university students who encouraged people to organize meetings to discuss important issues. In Novi Sad, the first community meeting was organized by an informal group. However, the crowd did not trust them and asked if they supported the student protests. The organizers put three issues on the agenda – the student demands, ways out of the crisis, and current local issues in Novi Sad.
