**Serbia Recalls Ambassador to Croatia**
The Serbian government has called back its ambassador to Croatia, Jelena Milic. This decision was made official in the country‘s Official Gazette.
Jelena Milic was appointed as Serbia’s ambassador to Zagreb in March 2022. Before joining the diplomatic service, she had a career in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and was involved in opposition activities against the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
Milic gained public attention for walking out of several high-profile events. These included a talk show on pro-regime TV Pink with then Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and a conference on minority rights when she disputed claims of hate speech by a Croat National Council official.
Additionally, Milic walked out of a reception hosted by the Serb National Council of Croatia after an award winner expressed support for protesting students in Serbia.
