Hunter’s ties to Ukraine have been a source of controversy for many years. Republicans have claimed that the outgoing President personally benefited from his son’s business deals in Ukraine. However, no evidence has been found to support this claim.
The Ukrainian energy company Burisma stopped operating in 2023. The Biden administration has now lifted restrictions on American defense contractors working in Ukraine. This means they can repair US-supplied military equipment more quickly.
