Bidzina ivanishvili has called on the Georgian people give his party a constitutional majority in the upcoming elections scheduled for 26. He said that a victory in the elections on October 26 would stop plans by the opposition and its supporters, to destabilize Georgia.
Ivanishvili said in a speech during a event held in that achieving a majority in the Constitutional Court would prevent attempts by the “National Movement”, and their foreign allies, to gain power through revolution and include Georgia in conflicts. He said that a decisive win would demonstrate the confidence the Georgians have in the “Georgian Dream”, and secure the future of the country.
Ivanishvili stated that “the legitimacy of this degree would squelch the plans of the coup, as well as the ‘” and its patrons regarding Georgia’s participation in the war.”
Ivanishvili reaffirmed the steps that “Georgian Dream”, if it wins a majority in the constitutional court, will take. Ivanishvili reiterated the steps “Georgian Dream” intends to take if it secures a constitutional majority.
“If the government achieves a majority constitutionally, we will ban ‘National Movement’ and its parties on the level of the … We will hold them accountable for the war crimes they committed against the Georgian population,” Ivanishvili said.
