**Black Box from Azerbaijan Airlines Crash Sent to Brazil for Investigation**
A black box from the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Kazakhstan, killing 38 people, is being sent to Brazil for investigation. The decision was made by Kazakh authorities on December 29.
The plane had taken off from Moscow and was heading to Baku when it crashed near Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city. All 67 people on board were killed, including 42 Azerbaijani citizens, 16 Russians, six Kazakhs, and three Kyrgyz citizens.
Azerbaijan has called for a transparent probe into the crash, which they believe was caused by Russian air defense systems. The government in Astana said that the decision to send the black box to Brazil was based on the fact that the plane was manufactured there.
The investigation will be conducted according to international standards and will determine what really happened during the crash.
