**US to Boost Military Aid to Ukraine Before Biden Leaves Office**
The US government plans to send more military help to Ukraine, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He said this during a one-day visit to Brussels on November 13.
Blinken met with several officials, including the head of NATO, Mark Rutte. The secretary of state stressed that the outgoing administration will keep supporting Ukraine so it can either fight Russia effectively or negotiate peace from a strong position.
There are concerns about future US support for Ukraine because of Donald Trump’s election win and a crisis in Germany. This has created uncertainty at a critical time in the conflict with Russia.
**US to Continue Supporting Ukraine**
Blinken said that the US will continue to help Ukraine defend itself. He emphasized that President Biden wants to strengthen the alliance between the US and other countries before he leaves office.
The secretary of state also warned about North Korea’s recent move to support Russian forces. He said this demands a firm response from the US.
**US Plans to Expedite $6 Billion in Funding**
The US plans to quickly send over $6 billion in already approved funding for Ukrainian military support. This will be done before Biden leaves office.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stressed that the US approach remains consistent, which is to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.
