**Erdogan to Propose Peace Plan for Ukraine**
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to propose a peace plan for Ukraine during the G20 talks in Brazil on November 18. According to Bloomberg, Erdogan’s proposal would involve Ukraine giving up its bid to join NATO for at least 10 years.
The plan also includes freezing the current front line and providing Ukraine with weapons. International troops would be deployed to a demilitarized buffer zone in the Donbas region.
**NATO Fears and Zelensky’s Words**
Erdogan’s proposal comes as NATO countries prepare for a potential Donald Trump presidency, which many fear will lead to the US pressuring Ukraine to end the war quickly. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine must do everything possible to end the war through diplomatic means in 2025.
**G20 and Russia**
The G20 countries are meeting in Brazil without Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is not invited due to an ICC arrest warrant for his role in the abduction of Ukrainian children. Ukrainian President Zelensky has also been excluded from the summit despite appeals to receive an invitation.
**International Pressure**
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently spoke with Putin and condemned Russia’s war against Ukraine. He called on Russia to withdraw its troops and negotiate a just and lasting peace. However, this move sparked anger in Ukraine, with Zelensky warning that it could open a Pandora’s Box for further engagement with the Russian leader.
