New Coalition to Support Formed

The idea was first presented by the UK Prime Minister in on March 2. Later, officials from Australia, Japan, and New Zealand joined a meeting in Paris to expand the coalition’ membership beyond and NATO.

However, the US is not part of this new group. The has taken a tough stance against Ukraine and Europe, but wants to improve relations with Russia.

The coalition plans to create a “reassurance force” to protect Ukraine. who don’ want to send troops directly to Ukraine can instead send soldiers or supplies to neighboring countries. This way, they can still contribute to the effort without putting their own people at risk.

Russia has said it won’t accept NATO peacekeepers in Ukraine as part of a deal. The country also hasn’t agreed to a 30-day ceasefire that was proposed by the US and Ukraine.
