German car maker BMW has announced that it has found out about some problems with its car exports from a branch in Hanover to Russia. The company says that employees who were involved have been fired.

According to reports, over 100 luxury cars were sent to Russian buyers even though there are still sanctions against Russia. These sanctions mean that certain items, including high-end cars, cannot be exported from Europe to Russia.

BMW has said that it has stopped selling these specific cars and is working on making sure that this kind of problem does not happen again in the future.
**Russia Banned From Getting Luxury Cars**
The US and the European Union banned the export of luxury cars to Russia last year. This was after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Even though this ban is in place, some cars have still been getting into Russia by using other countries as middlemen.
