**Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson Criticizes Russia’s Actions**
Boris Johnson, the former leader of the United Kingdom, has spoken out against Russia’s actions in Ukraine. In an online interview, he called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “f***ing idiot” and said that Russia is no longer an empire.
Johnson compared Russia to the British Empire, saying that while the UK is still respected despite its decline as an empire, Russia needs to understand it too has lost its status. He added that Ukraine should join NATO and criticized the alliance for being unclear about its support for Ukraine.
**Russia’s War in Ukraine**
The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for two years now. Russia continues to occupy 20% of Ukraine’s territory, including the annexed regions of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, and parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Moscow has made several attempts to expand its control over Ukrainian territory.
**Johnson Supports Ukraine**
Boris Johnson was a strong supporter of Ukraine during his time as Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022. He visited the country several times and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Johnson now continues to speak out against Russia’s actions, calling them “archaic and barbaric”.
