**Bosnia and Herzegovina Protests Serbia‘s Participation in Republika Srpska Day**
A formal protest note has been sent by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Minister, Elmedin Konakovic, to Serbia. The reason is that top Serbian officials attended a celebration of Republika Srpska Day.
This day, January 9, is considered unconstitutional in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and Speaker of the Serbian Parliament Ana Brnabic led the delegation at this event.
The Foreign Ministry reminded Serbia of previous decisions made by the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Office of the High Representative. These decisions stated that celebrating January 9 was against Bosnia’s Constitution.
Despite this, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Republika Srpska on their holiday. He wished prosperity for all citizens and said Serbia would stand with Republika Srpska through hard times ahead.
