**Aid Worker Survives Russian Missile Attack**
Karol Swiacki, an aid worker from Bournemouth, has survived a Russian missile attack on a hotel in Ukraine. He was with his team when the strike happened in Kryvyi Rih.
The city’s regional governor said at least four people were killed and 31 injured in the attack. The city is also the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, who is attending an emergency summit in Europe.
**Aid Worker Speaks Out**
Mr. Swiacki, founder of Ukraine Relief, contacted the BBC to report on the attack. He said his team was caught in the strike and many people were killed or injured. Mr. Swiacki also expressed sympathy for the Ukrainian people, saying “I’m sorry it’s happening to you Ukraine. We won’t give up.”
**Damage and Response**
The missile damaged 13 apartment blocks and 12 shops. This is not the first time the hotel has been targeted – it was attacked five months ago. Yuriy Sak, an adviser to Ukraine’s Ministry of Strategic Industries, called the strike a “civilian, peaceful hotel” attack.
**Ukrainian President Speaks Out**
President Zelensky spoke at the EU emergency summit, thanking European leaders for their support. He said, “We are not alone, and these are not just words, we feel it.”
