**US-Ukraine Alliance in Trouble**
The relationship between the US and Ukraine is getting worse. President Trump had already called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky a dictator and said Ukraine started a war, which is not true.
Now, after a shouting match in the Oval Office, things are even more tense. The US-Ukraine alliance, which was strengthened by Joe Biden, is falling apart. This also means that there could be big problems between European countries and the US.
People are worried about whether the US will keep its promise to protect any country in NATO if it’s attacked. President Trump wants a good relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He has been putting pressure on Ukraine while offering Russia many concessions, which would have to be made by the Ukrainians.
President Zelensky refused to agree to these concessions because he believes his country is fighting for survival against Russia. He asked the US for security guarantees, but Trump got angry with him.
The meeting turned into a shouting match when Vice-President JD Vance intervened. Some people think that this public row was planned by Trump to get Ukraine to do what the US wants or to create a crisis and blame Zelensky for it.
If the US stops sending military aid to Ukraine, the country will continue fighting, but not as effectively. European countries will be under even more pressure to help Ukraine.
