Georgia’s “Brighton 4th”, a film by Levan Koguashvili, will compete for the nomination in the 2022 International Feature Film category at the American Film Academy.
Brighton 4th is Levan Koguashvili’s third feature-length film. Brighton 4th is a tragicomedy that tells the story of Georgians who emigrated to America in search of their dreams. Kakhi, a 70 year old Georgian wrestler, travels to New York from Tbilisi in order to help his gambling addicted son pay off debts and solve problems. Levan Tediashvili, the Olympic champion wrestler, plays the main role. The main part of Brighton 4th was filmed in New York.

Brighton 4th was screened at the Karlovy Vary international film festival. The Sofia International Film Festival also opened with the Georgian movie Brighton 4th.
