**Germany Deploys Patriot Air Defenses to Protect Polish Airport**
Germany will send the promised Patriot air defenses to protect a key airport in Poland by the end of January, said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. The airport at Rzeszow is a major logistics hub for Ukraine and transports most Western aid to Ukraine.
The MIM-104 Patriot fire units and 200 Bundeswehr soldiers will be deployed to Poland for six months. They will work alongside Norwegian soldiers who are currently protecting the airport with NASAMS air defense systems.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine’s focus is on equipping its military, rather than reducing the draft age. This comes as NATO’s “Baltic Sentry” mission aims to monitor and deter potential threats in the region.
