By the end of the year, Ukraine will receive its first NASAMS system ordered by Canada

Zelenskyy made the announcement after a phone call with Trudeau. They discussed the Peace Formula Conference, the Plan and ‘s participation in the war.
The first NASAMS air defence system ordered by by Ukraine was shipped on 4 November. Delivery is expected by the end this year. During their phone call, Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister, informed him of the shipment.
Zelenskyy said that NASAMS and Patriot were highly effective in Ukraine. Zelenskyy, in 2024 during a period of intensified Russian air attacks urged allies, stating that Ukraine needed 25 Patriot systems to secure its airspace, to provide as many systems as possible. He said that even a supply of seven systems immediately would boost Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
The Ukrainian thanked Trudeau and his team as well as all parties involved for the successful hosting of the Peace Formula Conference on “Release of Prisoners and Deportees”, in Montreal, on 30 and 31 .
