**British Soldier Killed in Ukraine Had Experienced Bullying**
Callum Tindal–Draper, a 22-year-old from Cornwall, was killed on November 5 while fighting in Ukraine. His parents say he died doing what he believed in.
Tindal-Draper had volunteered to go to war. He had been in Ukraine since June and joined the International Legion. His commander said he was one of the bravest soldiers there.
**From Bullied Teenager to Hero**
When Tindal-Draper was a teenager, he was bullied at school. But instead of letting that experience define him, he vowed to never let anyone else be bullied again. He took it even further and promised not to let countries bully each other either.
His parents say this made him the person he became – someone who cared deeply about others and wanted to make a difference.
**Proud Parents**
Tindal-Draper’s parents, Steven Draper and Caroline Tindal, are proud of their son. They understand that his decision to go to war was not easy for them, but they say it was something he had to do.
Ms. Tindal said: “He didn’t have to volunteer at all… But what more can you ask for from your children, to be that proud of them?”
**Hero’s Legacy**
Tindal-Draper’s body will remain in Ukraine, where his parents say he found a new home. His legacy as a hero and a brave soldier will live on.
