The Canadian Armed Forces‘ Operation UNIFIER has announced that Canada has delivered to Ukraine a new batch LAVs (Light Armored Vehicles), specifically ambulance variants. The exact number of vehicles was not disclosed, but the delivery followed extensive training of Ukrainian personnel by German experts.
The delivery is part Canada’s ongoing military assistance to Ukraine which has totaled almost $4.5 billion since 2020.
“Following operator and maintenance training for the ACSV, ambulance version, in Germany, vehicles were loaded and sent to Ukraine. These vehicles will assist Ukraine in its ongoing defence against an illegal invasion of their land,” the CAF Mission stated on X.
