**Canada Sends First Tranche of G7 Loan to Ukraine**

The Canadian government has sent the first installment of its $3.5 billion contribution to a $50 billion loan for Ukraine, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced February 24.

Despite the international pressure, Russia continues to carry out military actions in Ukraine. On February 24, it launched a massive on Ukraine, deploying 185 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy drones. air defenses were able to shoot down 113 of the drones.

**International Reaction**

The international community has condemned Russia’s actions and expressed support for Ukraine. In a phone call with President Donald , Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emphasized that any agreement between Ukraine and Russia must not be seen as appeasement by Vladimir Putin.
