CEC Denies Claims of Voter Data Irregularities
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has rejected claims made by a non-governmental organization called “Fair Elections“. They said there were big differences in how many men and women voted.
But the CEC says this information is not important for deciding who won the election. They say it was collected for other reasons, not just elections.
The CEC also says that small mistakes in 11 out of over 2 million voter registrations are not enough to prove anything wrong with the election. They said these mistakes were made by people and don‘t mean there’s a problem.
“Fair Elections” is still saying that some polling stations don’t have clear information about how many men and women voted. They say that at some places, it looks like more men than women voted.
