CEC Denies Accusations of Unfair Reorganization
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has responded to accusations made by the head of the “Fair Elections” organization, Nino Dolidze. She claimed that the reorganization in the CEC was unfair and aimed at dismissing specific individuals.
The CEC denies these claims, saying that the reorganization was necessary and based on existing needs and challenges. They also state that every decision made by the commission is based on legal principles and democratic standards.
The CEC explains that they have been transparent about their reasons for reorganizing and have informed employees and the public about the process. However, “Fair Elections” has not requested any information from the CEC regarding the reorganization and therefore does not possess complete knowledge of the situation.
The CEC accuses “Fair Elections” of having a biased attitude towards them. They point out that in the past, the organization made errors in publishing results of parallel counts and failed to correct these mistakes in a timely manner. This led to polarization and radicalization of the process.
The CEC also points out that reorganization is a common practice for them after each election cycle. They analyze their activities and make decisions based on existing needs, including personnel decisions.
The CEC calls on “Fair Elections” not to mislead the public and contribute to discrediting the agency based on personal or political motives. Each decision made by the CEC will continue to be based on legal principles and democratic standards.
