Veon Georgia‘s first ever Compliance Fest was held on November 4th. It was a one-day, joint event organized by the Ethics & Compliance function and People & Organization. The event brought together Veon Georgia employees from different functions, Veon Georgia’s top management and the VEON Group. The event’s main goal was to summarize a year’s work and celebrate Veon Georgia’s success in adhering to the highest standards of Ethics & Compliance in Business and living by these values while fulfilling their responsibility as a business.
Veon Georgia’s values are shaped by the ethics and compliance that are integral to the company. The event was designed to be a reflection of both the ethical standards as well as the company culture. The event was a way for the Compliance and Ethics function and company to cement their work.
Veon Georgia employees who attended the Festival were able to take part in games and activities related to Ethics & Compliance policies, procedures, and company values. They also had the opportunity to listen to a presentation from the local Ethics & Compliance team summarizing the achievements, areas for improvement, and future goals.
During an awards ceremony that was one of highlights of the event the company recognized employees for their outstanding performance in observing Ethics & Compliance Standards, as well employees who acted as role models of each of the company’s values. The event was held in strict compliance with Covid-19 regulations, and all attendees and organizing staff were fully vaccinated. The company looks forward to hosting the event annually.
“It’s a signature event that we’re attending today – a Compliance Festival. It shows how important it is to have principles, ethics, integrity and a code of conduct to achieve success, and to do so with pride,” said Kaan Terrioglu, Group CEO of VEON.
“Veon Georgia held today its first Compliance, Ethics and Culture Festival. This festival is a celebration for the way that we live, how we do business and the values we hold dear. We are not only following the highest ethical standards within the company but also working with our suppliers and business partners in the same manner – with integrity, responsibility and ethics in mind,” stated Lasha Tabidze.
