Chair of Committee: Human Resources in the Healthcare Sector Need to be Improved and HR Policy Needed

The Scientific-Advisory on Health Facilitation and Disease Prevention of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee has discussed the National Healthcare Strategy 2022-2030 and the Action Plan 2022-2024.

Gabunia said that the strategy was a vision of high-quality, need-adjusted health services to protect the population against financial risks in the event of disease.
The strategy aims to improve the health of the populace, provide universal access to healthcare services, and distribute the financial burden equally.
Priorities in the strategy are in line with WHO recommendations. These include: improvement of the health sector, improvement of the efficiency of the financial system in healthcare, development of human resource in the sector, accessibility to high quality, effective and safe medicine, improvement of the management information system in healthcare, enhancement of public healthcare and preparedness for potential health risks.
