Charles Michel, President of the European Council and the leaders of EU member states, sent an invitation to the informal meeting of European Council.
Charles Michel’s note says: “We will also discuss the situation in Georgia following the elections and how to move forward.”
The leaders of the European Council will discuss transatlantic relations, and the support for the United Nations, at the informal meeting that will take place in Budapest on November 8th.
“Our relationship with America is very important, and we are prepared to deepen it.” Charles Michel says that in accordance with our strategic agenda, we need to continue implementing our priorities and actively work towards building a strong, sovereign Europe.
Today, 47 countries, including Georgia will attend the summit of the European Political Union in Budapest.
The summit of the European Political Union will see the heads of state and government discuss European security issues, Russia’s aggressive conflict against Ukraine, current escalation of violence in the Middle East and illegal migration.
