The new policy of Russia, which is set to come into effect in 2025 and affect all medical categories including chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma, will impact on all medical categories.
According to the Eastern Human Rights Group, Russia has announced that residents of occupied Ukrainian territory must have Russian passports in order to receive free prescription medication needed by those with chronic diseases.
Russia has also implemented a number of illegal policies, including forcing Ukrainians into Russian citizenship and indoctrinating local children with anti Ukrainian sentiments.
