**Russian Ideologue Sees Hope in US-Russia Relations**
A Russian man named Alexander Dugin spoke to CNN on March 30. He has been a strong supporter of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and believes in the superiority of Russia.
Dugin thinks that US President Donald Trump is someone who can change the world’s balance. He said that because of Trump, Putin and Russia are not as bad as they used to be.
**Dugin Claims Common Ground with US**
Dugin thinks that the US and Russia have more in common now. However, he does not think it’s time yet to talk about a partnership between the two countries against Europe.
If the US were to leave its war in Ukraine, Dugin said that Russia could work together with the US to fight European globalists and liberals in Ukraine.
**Dugin’s Past Statements**
Dugin has been known for his extreme views on Russia. In 2014, he said that Ukrainians should be killed. He also called for a genocide of people who disagreed with him.
In August 2022, his daughter died in a car explosion near Moscow. Many believe it was meant to target Dugin himself.
