**Ukraine Uses Laser Technology to Hit Russian Targets**

The Ukrainian military is using laser technology to hit Russian targets, according to Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi. He made this statement an interview with Radio Free /Radio Liberty.

Sukharevskyi said that Ukraine’ laser system, called Tryzub, can down aircraft at altitudes exceeding 2 kilometers. The commander also stated that the Ukrainian military’s Research and (R&D) involves a number of areas, including finding effective countermeasures against Russian aircraft and drones.

This new technology is part of the Forces, which was established less than a year ago. The forces include combat and research units operating across air, land, and sea.

Ukrainian drones attacked energy facilities in Russia’s Astrakhan and Volgograd oblasts overnight on February 3, causing a fire. Local authorities reported that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian drones.
