**Serbian President and Ministers Must Be Questioned**
A special commission in Serbia has called for the president, Aleksandar Vucic, and two former cabinet ministers to be questioned immediately. They are accused of making harmful decisions about the reconstruction of a main railway station in Novi Sad.
The commission said that Zorana Mihajlovic and Mladjan Dinkic must also be questioned along with President Vucic. All three were involved in decisions about the railway and its reconstruction. The commission believes they made mistakes that led to problems with the project.
The main issue is a railway line between Novi Sad and Hungary‘s border. A report from 2012-13 showed that modernizing this line should have cost around €330 million. However, the company that was hired to do the work, a consortium of Chinese companies, received over €1 billion for their efforts.
This project was first discussed in 2010 by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic’s government. They secured a €3.95 million grant from the European Union to support it.
