**Court Rejects Detention Request**
A court in Novi Sad, Serbia, has refused to order the detention of three people involved in a deadly awning collapse at the city’s main railway station.
The Higher Court in Novi Sad did not agree with the prosecution’s demand to detain former Construction Minister Goran Vesic and two others. They were indicted for their role in the collapse that killed 15 people.
The court, however, extended the house arrest order for all three individuals. Ten other people mentioned in the indictment will also remain under detention.
This decision was made by a panel of judges at the Higher Court in Novi Sad. The prosecution had filed the indictment on December 30.
