CROATIA TO PROTEST SERBIA OVER DETAINED WOMEN
Five Croatian women were detained in Serbia while attending a workshop. The Croatian government is unhappy about this.
The women have now returned home. They received help from the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade. This embassy helped them with important documents and other assistance they needed.
CROATIA TO TAKE ACTION
Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlic Radman, said that his country will take several steps against Serbia. These steps include:
* Sending a protest note to Serbia
* Telling the European Union about what happened
* Keeping track of all cases where Croatians are treated unfairly in Serbia
* Changing Croatia’s travel advice for citizens traveling to Serbia
The minister believes that it is not safe for Croatians to travel to Serbia. He wants to protect them.
This incident is not an isolated one. Romanian and Irish citizens have also experienced similar treatment, according to the Croatian foreign minister.
