Independent media play a vital role in democracy by providing news, enabling public debate, and holding those in power accountable. However, this is not happening in Georgia anymore.
The Czech Embassy says it’s sad to see Georgia backsliding into authoritarianism after being a beacon of democracy in the South Caucasus.
