**Czech Group Raises Millions for Ukraine‘s Defense**
A volunteer group in the Czech Republic has raised over 203 million crowns (8.15 million euros) to help defend Ukraine. The money was collected in just under a year through donations from the public.
The group, called Skupina D or Group D, was inspired by a special group of parachutists who were trained during World War II. They wanted to do something similar today to help Ukraine fight against Russia’s army.
**Delivering Drones and More**
Group D has already delivered over 12,000 drones to Ukraine. They plan to send another 3,000 drones before the end of the year. These drones are small and can be used for precise attacks on enemy targets.
The group’s founders said they were surprised by how much money was donated in just a few months. Their initial goal was to raise 100 million crowns (4 million euros), but they ended up collecting more than double that amount.
**New Project: “Just Retribution”**
Group D has also announced a new project called “Just Retribution”. They want to collect funds for plastic explosives and other materials that will be used to help Ukraine’s military. These materials will not only be used for combat, but also to clear mines from the battlefield.
The money raised for this project will be handed over to the Ukrainian Embassy in the Czech Republic, which will then arrange the purchase of these materials.
